At Redemption House of the Bay Area, we want to reaffirm our commitment to supporting all members of our community, especially in these uncertain times. We are aware that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has begun to carry out broad enforcement actions in the state of California, and we recognize the heightened anxiety and fear this may bring to individuals who may be at risk of detention.
We want to reassure you that our services and support groups are available to all survivors, regardless of immigration status. We are here to provide care, guidance, and assistance to those who need it, with no judgment or discrimination.
We also want to emphasize that your personal information is never shared with anyone outside of our organization. The confidentiality and safety of those who seek our services are our top priorities. No unauthorized individuals are allowed inside our office, ensuring that your privacy and well-being are respected at all times.
At Redemption House, we are a safe space for all. You are not alone, and we stand with you—now and always.
If you need assistance or just someone to talk to, please reach out to us. We are here for you, and we will continue to advocate for and support our community through every challenge.
In solidarity,
Redemption House of the Bay Areayou'd like to show.

This work wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our community. Donations are crucial in sustaining these efforts and helping more women get the support they need to reclaim their lives. If you'd like to make a difference, please consider donating. Together, we can continue to uplift and support survivors.

In California, loitering with the intent for commercial sex has been decriminalized, in a step towards legalizing commercial sex, which some are advocates for.
It normalizes and condones exploitation.
It increases demand for trafficking victims.
It undermines efforts to combat sex trafficking.
It promotes gender inequality.
It can lead to increased crime and social problems.
If you want to protect women, an alternative solution is an Equlity Model or Nordic Model approach which has been adopted by several countries, including Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Canada. This model decriminalizes those who sell sex but criminalizes the buyers and those who facilitate prostitution, such as pimps and brothel owners.
